Hold your pen at a 45-degree angle

THIN UPSTROKE, THICK DOWNSTROKE

Put light pressure as you make upward strokes and heavy pressure as you go down. 

Take it slow

It is normal to get shaky hands. Don’t worry about not getting the perfect and beautiful stroke at first, no one is born as an expert.

Practice on smooth paper

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

Deliberate practice is needed to see improvement. Always remember that PRACTICE MAKES PROGRESS.
