How To Improve Your Hand Lettering

Here are three things that can help you improve your hand lettering style. I consistently remind myself of these things which helped me a lot. I hope it will help you too.
Let us allow ourselves to be a beginner at some point of our lives. No one is born an expert. We should not rush onto the finish line, we should not aim for instant gratification. Let us enjoy the process of learning. It is worth it to take it slow and take our time. Eventually we will be masters of our own craft.
Practice makes progress. Choose one letter and write that letter again and again. Master the upstroke, the downstroke, and how it connects with different strokes. Later on, we will be able to write smoothly and we don't even have to think too hard about which strokes to connect, and when to lift our pen, it will be all muscle memory.
When we enjoy what we are doing, we won't see it as a burden but we'll look at it as joy and blessing. Failures and frustrations will come; we will have struggles along our way of learning our craft, but surely, enjoying what we do will help us go through all those hardships.
